Cannes Film Festival 2018
This year we have been incredibly busy during the Cannes Film Festival. Alongside with long standing events we took on new ventures and supported new-old charity fundraising events.
First of all we had the pleasure to support an incredible charity, Amend, to produce their event on the 11th May in the Hotel du Cap. Preparations for this event started months in advance but as always everything takes light speed a few days before the event. Amend chose to have a fundraising luncheon on the terrace of the iconic Eden Roc Hotel du Cap in Cap D'Antibes with a 3 course meal and a short auction. Considering the size of the charity the small and familial layout suited them perfectly while they still benefitted from the spectacular view over the Lerins Islands that the location had to offer. The intimate setup did attract the right crowd which made the short and sweet auction successful. The stunning Brigitte Bardot signed photography was quickly snapped up followed by the fantastic Faidee Burmese ruby earrings. The team of LCS Events was assisting this event with the event production, budgeting, hostesses, guest list management, venue set up, auction support, gift bags and front door control.
Our second event was a last minute project where the client needed support to make the event happen on a very tight deadline. Everything had to be done quickly and efficiently to make sure that all is ready for the premiere in a few days time. The launch party of the Spike Lee directed movie BlackKklansman was taking place at La Môme beach restaurant in Cannes which proved to be a great location for the event. The owners of the restaurant were very organised and accommodating and made the preparations a real team effort. The event quickly approached and the excitement escalated. The celebrity rich guest list was just growing and growing. Finally the big day arrived and everything went well. The turn out was amazing, we had Spike Lee with the whole cast of the movie, Naomi Campbell, Nicole Scherzinger, Winnie Harlow, Chris Tucker and many more who honoured us with their presence and raised the spirit of the party. The team of LCS Events was involved with the production of the event, carrying out local inspections of the venue, providing consultancy, guest list management, front door control, providing and briefing hostesses, personal assistance and on site supervision and management of teams.
