The Oscar weekend is finally here. Excitement in the air and Hollywood is buzzing from events and celebrities.
The team of LCS Events is busy too helping the Elton John AIDS Foundation on their annual Academy Awards Viewing Party.
The Elton John Foundation is well known in the charity industry and other NGOs look up to them in terms of their careful management of their budgets and efficient programs.
We are honoured to be part of their fundraising efforts and helping yet another of their events to be a real success.
This time we are responsible for distributing car passes for attendees, part of the registration, assisting with seating, coordinating volunteer auction spotters and many more.
EJAF's Academy Awards Viewing Party is the most highly visible and successful fundraising event in Hollywood on Oscar night. Over the past quarter century, this annual event has raised more than $62 million, thanks to the generosity of EJAF's supporters. These funds help the Foundation to make a real difference in the lives of people at risk for or living with HIV/AIDS, including urgently needed medical care in the Caribbean, innovative treatment and prevention programs in the Southern United States, and national initiatives addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
BBVA Compass, TheBLUEFISH, and M∙A∙C Viva Glam have partnered with EJAF as the evening's Co-Sponsors; Fin Gray and Michael Melnick and Guy and Lisa Ruffin are Associate Sponsors. Champagne will be provided courtesy of Hatt et Söner, wines by Domaine Bertaud Belieu, and spirits by Chopin Vodka and Clase Azul Tequila. The Foundation is especially grateful to the City of West Hollywood for continued collaboration with EJAF on shared goals. American Airlines is EJAF's official airline.

ABOUT THE ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION
At EJAF, we believe AIDS can be beaten. We act on that belief by raising funds for evidence-based programs and policies, and also by speaking out with honesty and compassion about the realities of people's lives. Sir Elton Johncreated EJAF almost 25 years ago, first in the United States in 1992 and then in the United Kingdom in 1993. Through hard work and with the help of our network of kind and generous friends and supporters, the two foundations together have raised more than $400 million over the past quarter century to combat stigma, prevent infections, provide treatment and services, and motivate governments to end AIDS. The U.S. foundation focuses its efforts on programs in the United States, the Americas, and the Caribbean, while the U.K. foundation funds HIV-related work in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Join us in speaking out, taking action, and contributing to our efforts to achieve a world without AIDS.
