Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Oceans
Last month an eye catching event venue marked the landscape of Monte-Carlo behind the Opera Garnier during the Monaco Yacht Show for a very noble reason.
On the 28th September celebrities, conservationists and the crème of Monaco gathered in the Principality to raise funds for the protection of Oceans. HRH the Prince Albert II of Monaco was accompanies by his wife HRH the Princess Charlene, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adrian Brody, singers Robin Thick and Nelly Furtado to mark this initial event an extraordinary fundraising effort. A painting from Picasso, one-week luxury holiday on M/Y Omega, a Rolex watch of Prince Albert II of Monaco, private dinner with the His Royal Highness cooked by Her Royal Highness was auctioned among other items. The total of the night resulted in an amazing $14 million raised for the protection of global oceans.
Attendees could enjoy a breathtaking mentalist performance by Lior Suchard, but the stage also hosted Nelly Furtado and Robin Thick. The celebrations continued in the famous night club Jimmy’s Monte-Carlo but some enjoyed the glam and hospitality of the Casino’s private game rooms just behind the event venue.
